The instrument is named Beyonce: Breathing Ecosystem Y'all, Optical Near-Surface Camera Equipment.
It measures vegetation reflectance in the 400-1000 nm range, as well as solar-induced fluorescence (SIF) in the 745-755 nm range. It sits on top of a 30m tower and scans to user-controlled locations to measure plant function and structure. The goal for this experiment is to develop a technique to measure rapid changes in grape physiology in response to changes in irrigation.
